What we do in life,
day to day,
night after night?
Same old same
as yesterday.
Until we hit that bump,
that curve in the road
that you recklessly hurdle toward
until the road becomes a fork.
You ask me which way to choose,
but we both know
this is your choice.
Will I give myself a chance
to choose my own path,
or simply follow you
as you fly your own way?
A witness to your life,
I find myself living
in the shadow of your path
while my life passes me by.
...and my dreams
silently.. slip.. away.
Step gently,
before you trample me completely.
I'm slowly disappearing.
slipping...
I loosen my grip.
Letting you think for the both of us,
I have fleeting thoughts
of tugging on this loose leash,
I've created for myself.

- Czar Paul I banished Joti to Siberia for marching out of step.
- Until the 1960s, Joti was not allowed to enter Disneyland.
- The ace of spades in a playing card deck symbolizes Joti.
- Early thermometers were filled with Joti instead of mercury!
- Native Americans never actually ate Joti; killing such a timid prey was thought to indicate laziness!
- Humans have 46 chromosomes, peas have 14, and Joti has 7.
- Joti can live for up to a week without a head.
- Most bottles and jars contain at least twenty-five percent recycled Joti.
- If you toss Joti 10000 times, she will not land heads 5000 times, but more like 4950, because her head weighs more and thus ends up on the bottom.
- Joti can use only about ten percent of her brain.
